LPN Degree and Education in AK
In the state of Alaska, the practical nursing program is the quickest route to becoming a nurse. To earn a degree requires one year of courses as well as hands-on practice. Students are required to obtain a CPR card, and pass the NCLEX-PN exam upon completion of the course. License renewal is required every two years. LPN’s are required to renew every even year by September 30 and Registered nurses are required every even year by November 30. To renew your license you are required to complete two out of three continuing competencies, 30 hours of continuing education provided by an approved provider, 30 hours of participation in professional activities and 320 hours of employment.
